So my friend from California came into town, her name is Ann, and we did not take a picture together yesterday or else I would share. But we went to Salado, talked about how lucky she was without any flight delays, ate apple dumplings (covered in ice cream!), talked about my Black Friday specials (hint, hint, hint :)), shopped, ate, drove, talked, talked and talked. Ann, if you are reading this, or I should say, when you read this, I had a great day with you yesterday - you must come to Texas more often! And we will go back to Browning's Cafe!
And ladies, back me up here, if you put ice cream on a dessert, it counts as zero Weight Watchers points, right?
Yesterday was such a fun day in my stamping world! I will start at the end of the day and go backwards...
Heather was my hostess at a workshop last night! If you don't know Heather, you should... she is the sweetest! And so are her friends - I got to visit with Jennifer, Caitrina and a new stamper, Cassie (and I am pretty sure that Cassie impressed herself with her cards last night!) They all made an awesome Christmas card that Heather picked and a great fall Thank You card with the Trendy Trees set. And then I made Heather one of my favorite gift bags. Want to see what we made?
Who won the door prize? Yvonne did! She won the Stamp Camp Door Prize basket that had over $100 in free goodies!
We had a great turn out at La Madeleine's (yummy!) and had some great new faces this time at camp, it was so much fun!
Guests made a collection of gifts including: a wooden calendar, a precious hot chocolate set, a set of cards using our incredible dyeable paper, the cutest little scrapbook, and gift boxes that look like reindeer and a snowman... and ALL with matching gift bags!!! It was a ton of projects and a ton of fun!
Be sure to watch for our Sale-a-Bration Stamp Camp early next year!
The second Saturday of every month, I go to Waco to meet with some really fun ladies! And we do their Stamp Club in the morning and then a class in the afternoon - and of course, food in the middle!
One of the things that I love about this club is our monthly swap. This club is my 'pilot/test' program for this type of swap. Our hostess for each month picks the stamp set that we use the following month. Then everyone makes cards using that set and when we meet, everyone goes home with 9 cards using that set - tons of ideas which means learning lots versatility out of the sets! Wanna see their work? This month we used the stamp set Thoughts and Prayers - Janel was our hostess!
Hi! OK, so super exciting - the I Teach Stamping Blog is fixed! I have no clue how I got it all wonky, but it is fixed!!! So I will be posting forward and backwards (all the previous posts will be shared as well!) So be sure to look both directions and post comments on your favorites!
After a yummy lunch at McAlister's, we went back and cranked out some advanced cards. Here are some of the pictures and some of the ladies...
OK, so you can't see them really well, they are concentrating on their stamping :).
We used the Tree Trimmings Stamp Set, the Season of Joy stamp set, For All You Do stamp set and the new Delightful Decorations stamp set with matching Ornament punch for the above cards. Have questions, email me with them!
I would love to have you join us for my next Advanced Card Class. My next Advanced card class in Round Rock is December 4th at 7pm. To sign up, email me or use the PayPal option below. This class is limited on seating, so do not wait to sign up.
Please understand that the demonstrator hosting this event must order all the materials necessary for the class in advance. When you register, I purchase materials for you, reserve your space (potentially turning other customers away), and prepare the materials for your projects. In the unfortunate event that you are unable to attend I will be unable to refund your money. However, you will receive a packet containing all the materials to construct the projects.
