June was a whirlwind of a month! I listed in my newsletter and mentioned it a bit at some of my classes that I was very, very close to reaching a goal that I set July 1st of last year. And I knew that if I worked really hard during June, I could reach it. June is busy enough, but add 10 workshops, 4 classes, 2 stamp clubs, 1 stamp camp, 2 days of garage sales, meeting with a realtor, Matt's Birthday, Father's Day, Emily's Birthday AND reaching a goal, and you can imagine why this past week has not included many blog posts.
But guess what???? I DID IT!!!! I reached my goal! I set my goal very high and I reached it! And I have so many of YOU to thank for it - THANK YOU!!! So what was the goal and why was it so important?
There were many levels to the goal. One part was keeping my SAM. My SAM (Natalie!!) is my Service Account Manager with Stampin' Up! This is one of the coolest parts of reaching a certain level with Stampin' Up! I tell all the ladies in my downline to get to this level as fast as humanly possible so that they can have a SAM. As demonstrators, we have an 1800 number that we can call with questions, needs, etc. And the people on the other end are awesome! The nicest people you will ever talk to! But when you get a SAM, you call a different number, you put in your demo ID number and BOOM - Natalie answers and says "Hi Megan!" It is incredible! So anytime you have asked me to call about anything, or you have heard me say that I will call and ask something, relay something, I am usually talking to Natalie. She helps me with goal setting, accountability, and so much more! Each year you have to earn your SAM, once you have one, you cannot imagine life without one!
The next part, knowing that I can set a goal and reach it. This was a concern of mine when I quit my "real" job to be a demonstrator. I knew what I wanted, but was not sure that I could do it. Others reach this level all the time, but could I?
Another part, a higher commission to help us with some items we needed much help with. I think that part is self explanitory.
The last part, is the trip. Every year, we can earn a trip for us and a guest. This was the trip that we took to Hawaii earlier this year, I earned it last year. I based my goals this year on the level that would earn the trip, but not for the reasons that most would think. I did list all these parts in the level of importance to me. And when I reached the top three, this fourth would be the automatic, the reward for the hard work and determination, the icing on the cake.
So I wish that I had a picture of Natalie to share with you, and a picture of my goal sheet, but it is not pretty (picture pencil, circles all over it in different colors of ink, exclamation points, x's, dates and more), but I can share with you this picture. Remember, this was the end result of the rest of these goals, the icing, the fun... and I can't wait!
