Whales!

This was one of the most amazing experiences of my life!  We went off the coast in Hawaii to see the humpback whales and learned so much about them. 

I have always known that Matt can take wonderful pictures, but I am blown away!  These 40 ton animals are out of the water for about 1.5 seconds and he got some shots that I am so excited to share with you!

Pictures From the Other Side

Once you become a demonstrator, you can go to the Stampin' Up! website and log into the "other side" of our website.  On there, you can find thousands of stamping ideas, tips, etc.  We can enter some of our artwork for online publication.  It is a lot of fun to see if your artwork makes it or not.  And while I was in Hawaii, guess what happened?

Here is my card, and oddly enough, it is a card that we are doing at card class this upcoming month.

This card features our Petal Pizzazz stamp set along with Rhinestone Brads and silver brads.  I am anxious to share this card with those of you coming to card class.

Cris's Cupcakes

On another post, I shared a bit about our artwork on the other side of the website, and here is an awesome card by one of my dearest friends.  Her name is Cris Bagne and her cupcake card was featured the other day.

I love the Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set and really like it with the hodgepodge hardware in vanilla.  That hodgepodge works perfect with our Designer Label Punch.

Luau!

Wow!  You cannot believe what our luau was like tonight!  Done JUST FOR US by Stampin' Up!  Our own private Luau - and it was unbelievable!  I wish that you could have been here with us. 

Before it started, they had arts and crafts booths, perfect, right?  So my friend Amy and I make our own leis.

Then the show started and so did the wind - extreme wind!  And these guys were walking around on stilts, none of us could believe that they were still upright during all the winds.

Then the dancing started and the stories that were told were so touching.  Several of us were crying during the different ceremonies.  Very moving and touching.

NEW BLOG NAME

Welcome!!!  This is the new and improved site and name!  Tell me what you think of it in the comments below this post.  I personally love the new name, it tells you exactly what I do.  I teach stamping because I love the therapeutic effect that it has on you and me!

We saw the most amazing REAL waterfalls on our tour yesterday!  And this is Rainbow Falls...

Volcanos and the 11 different eco systems

That title makes it sound like 7th grade science class, right?

We took a day long tour yesterday and learned all about the big island.  The bus took us to an active volcano where we witnessed volcano activity (like 5 minutes after we got there) and then to a lava tube, a rain forest, a desert, snow capped mountains, hot, cold, wet, EVERYTHING!  It was the coolest thing ever!

First Morning In Hawaii

Well, we were awake by 3am Hawaii time, 8 am Texas time and never went back to sleep.  So we got up today, made our Kona (YUMMY) coffee and sat on our balcony and visited.  It was amazing!  You can hear the waves coming in, and the millions of birds that also assisted in waking us up this morning.  But that was all - no other noise.  We watched the sun come up and then got ready for our day.

Today was our Stampin' Up! Breakfast.  Just a huge breakfast buffet with all kinds of fresh fruit, Hawaiian sweet bread french toast and that was not the best part.  The best part was the view!  Since we were there early, we picked the best table with the waterfall view.

Then we went to a meeting.....

OK, when I say meeting, it was stamping and the coolest meeting ever!  Talk about feeling spoiled!  We got to see exclusive sneak peeks of the new catalog.  (no pictures allowed - sorry!) and then saw some great demonstrations with the new mini catalog items.  And then the husbands were also entertained.

Wait, let me back up.  Actually, let's do a post dedicated to the men at the meeting.
